Week in Vancouver, BC...

I spent a week in Vancouver, BC, Canada at a company conference. Below is a picture out of the 26th floor of the Rogers building (where we attended the conference). This was taken on one of the days that the fog lifted and the sun was actually shining (pretty kick-butt view). The Vancouver/Burnaby area is really pretty interesting--but I couldn't imagine living there where most days are rainy (would get depressing I would think). We hit Cypress mountain after work on Wednesday to do a little snowboarding/drinking (but I didn't get any good pictures). Other nights were spent exploring the city and eating at good restaurants.

Another incline down...

Brownie, Katie, Allison, and I continued our 2008 race training with another trip up the incline. Yes, Eric is pictured--but the wanker had sand in his ... or something like that and didn't go up with us (just kidding Uni). We stopped at Kinfolks for a little PBR in the bottle and ultimately a greasy burger at Townhouse Lounge in Manitou (pictured below).

As Brownie pointed out to us, Ed Hillary passed away today. He was the first person to hike up Mt. Everest--the highest peak in the world. We dedicated our incline hike with a PBR at the top of the incline.

Brother visiting...

My little bro came out to see me before school cranks back up again for him. We hit the town, I took him to the hash on Saturday, up the incline, and skiing on Monday:

Rescue Run 10K

Brownie, ILYB, Kirk Bigger, Katie Throndsen, Mike Carmody, Kerry Page, Steve Warmingham, myself and others did the 2008 El Paso County Rescue Run 10K on New Years Day *morning* in Palmer Park, C/S, CO. I was not operating on all cylinders that morning. But great way to get that gin out of the bloodstream...
